Hi friends!
So it's been quite a while since I last wrote but I've just been SO BUSY. This post is dedicated to my trip to Paris.
I went to Paris a few weekends ago (October 2-5) and it was AMAZING. I could go on and on and on about how much I love this city, no joke. I've visited once before, in the summer of 2008 and I promised myself I would return. This time around I went with my cousin Cesar and my aunt Teresa. We left Barcelona Thursday evening, and by the time we got to the hotel it was so late! We managed to sneak a peek at L'Arc de Triomphe (which was just a short walk away), got a delicious dinner on the Champs-Elysées (salmon crêpes!!!!!!), and went to sleep.

Ha sido un buen desde la última vez que escribí, pero es que he estado MUY OCUPADA. Esta entrada está dedicada a mi viaje a Paris.
Fui a Paris hace unas semanas (del 2-5 de octubre) y estuvo MARAVILLOSO. Es en serio, podría yo hablar por días sobre cuanto me encanta esta ciudad. La he visitado solamente una vez, en el verano del 2008, y me prometí a mi misma que un día regresaría. Esta vez fui con mi primo Cesar y mi tia Teresa. Nos fuimos de Barcelona el jueves por la tarde y para cuando llegamos al hotel ya era tarde! Logramos ver el Arco del Trionfo (unos minutos caminando), y comimos una deliciosa cena en los Campos Elíseos (crepas de salmon!!!!!!), y nos dormimos.
Friday morning arrived and we got to touristing. We went to the Louvre via le Parc des Tuileries after a yummy breakfast at a cafe down the road from the hotel. The Louvre is so amazing-- there's so much cool stuff to see! I saw a MUMMY, along with so much beautiful art. Afterward we walked around and grabbed a delicious lunch at a diner by the Seine (chicken tandoori burger). The afternoon continued with a visit to Notre Dame cathedral, and a hike to Sacre Coeur. We got back toward the Eiffel Tower and watched the sunset from the Trocadero, facing the Tower. A mushroom omelette and a banana nutella crepe later and it was sweet dreams till the next day.

Llegó la mañana del viernes y empezamos a turistear. Fuimos al museo Louvre via el parque de tuileries después de haber desayunado rico en un café cerca del hotel. Me encanta el Louvre-- hay muchas cosas super padres que ver! Vi una MOMIA, junto con mucha arte hermosa. Después caminamos por la ciudad y comimos hamburguesas al lado del río Sena. La tarde continuó con una visita a la iglesia Notre Dame y una caminata a la Basilica de Sacre Coeur. Regresamos a la torre Eiffel y vimos el atardecer desde el Trocadero, viendo hacia la torre. Un omelette de champiñones y una crepa de plátano con nutella después y dulces sueños hasta el dia siguiente!
Saturday: Our last full day in Paris. We went to Hôtel des Invalides to see Napoleon Bonaparte's magnificent tomb. We spent the rest of the day at the Palace at Versailles which is AMAZING. The first time I went I ate a croque-monsieur sandwich at a hidden café inside the labyrinth and I was so happy to be able to repeat the experience! Cesar and I rented bikes and took a ride around the canal and that was sooo much fun. The evening was over sooner than I wanted. We ate dinner at a wonderful italian restaurant and it was time to say "à bientôt" to my favorite city.
Sabado: Nuestro último día completo en Paris. Fuimos al Hotel de los Invalidos para ver la tumba magnifica de Napoleon Bonaparte. Pasamos el resto del dia en el Palacio de Versailles-- fue ASOMBROSO. La primera vez que fui me comí un sandwich "croque-monsieur" en un café escondido el el laberinto y me alegró mucho poder repetir la experiencia! Cesar y yo rentamos unas bicicletas y nos paseamos al rededor del canal- fue super divertido! La tarde se acabó más pronto de lo que quería. Cenamos en un fantástico restaurante italiano y luego era hora de decirle "à bientôt" a mi ciudad favorita.
